Thanks to Jerry Sharp and Ed Wheeler for the marvelous presentation on the Free Soil Farm.

Welcome back from France, President Lynn Ray and wife, Shan.

Guests are welcome to attend--meeting starts at 12 noon at the LaFollette United Methodist Church!

The South Campbell County Rotary Club is located in Campbell County, LaFollette, Tennessee, Gateway to pristine Norris Lake. Meetings are held every Tuesday at 12 noon, at LaFollette United Methodist church (above.)

Rotary is a world-wide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations. The South Campbell County Rotary Club has served beautiful Campbell County and Rotary International for 40 years. According to Ed Wheeler and Hack Ayers, charter members, there were 35 members in the original club.      “We met at Laxton’s Restaurant, LaFollette Assisted Living Center, a steak house, The LaFollette Church of God and currently at the LaFollette United Methodist Church.  We were a very active group and one of my favorite memories from the early years was the time we collected money during the month of December on the corner at Riggs' Drug Store and Peoples Bank for the Scholarship Fund. It was a new adventure, with a fun group who enjoyed playing jokes on one another and hosting nice banquets,” said Hack.” Over the years  the club has served as a vital cog in the Rotary wheel, providing “service above self” to the towns of LaFollette, Jacksboro, Caryville, and all of the communities nestled in the hills and mountains of gorgeous Campbell, County in East Tennessee. In addition the club has garnered countless awards from Rotary International for their service and exemplary spirit of giving and empathy for those in need globally.

Today, there  are 1.2 million Rotary members, with 34,000 clubs around the world. These dedicated members strive to support education, provide job training, service in the workplace and community,  orchestrate clean water, health and sanitation projects, and are in the process of eradicating polio.

If you would like to become a member of the South Campbell County Rotary Club, you are welcome to attend one of our meetings, which are held at 12 noon, every Tuesday, at the LaFollette United Methodist Church. Members will be happy to answer any questions you may have and welcome you into the fold!
